Show n Go Rides*


SUNDAY SHOW N GO RIDES:

8:30 a.m. from Publix parking lot, Curlew Rd. & Alt. 19 at the Trail. Moderate to brisk pace, depending on attendance and groups... Usually 35-40 miles... most often to Trouble Creek and back, sometimes an alternate route.

8:00 a.m. from Mease Hospital, Dunedin, parking lot, far SE corner. Flatland Cyclery sponsored ride out of MEASE, Dunedin, tempo pace 22-24 mph with faster intervals. Check with Flatland Cyclery for info or other ride details. Moderate to brisk pace, depending on attendance and groups... Usually 35-40 miles. Route determined by group. Sometimes joins Publix 8:30 ride.

8:30 a.m. Starbucks Coffee Ride -- FIRST SUNDAY of the month after the 1st Saturday of the month hills ride.  Leave from Curlew & Alt. 19, Publix parking lot, ride to Safety Harbor and back through some nice winding roads. Moderate pace, approx. 40 miles with option for shorter route.  MAP NOW AVAILABLE -- CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD.

8:30 a.m. (promptly!) :-)   POF Group: Meets at the Publix parking lot on East Lake Rd.- ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE ORIGINAL PUBLIX AND NEXT TO BLOCKBUSTER. Typically Tampa, West Chase, and eastward - route varies, but usually 50 or so miles.

WEEKDAY EVENING SHOW N GO RIDES: 
THESE ARE USUALLY SUSPENDED IN WINTER OR ARE A "LIGHTS ONLY" RIDE... CHECK BACK FOR UPDATE OR JUST SHOW UP AND TAKE YOUR CHANCES!

Tues/Thurs. 5:45 AND 6:00 PM  PINELLAS:

5:45 P.M. B RIDE Pace 18-22 mph. TUESDAY LEAVES FROM CHAINWHEEL DRIVE ON DREW ST. THURSDAY LEAVES FROM PUBLIX PARKING LOT, ALT. 19 & CURLEW RD. Lights will be required until daylight is later. Typically 25-35 miles.
6:00 P.M. TRAINING GROUP leaves from Publix parking lot, Curlew Rd. and Alt. 19 at the Trail. FAST TRAINING RIDE, usally north to Trouble Creek, with intervals and sprints. 24-30+ mph pace, with faster intervals.

 

Wed. 6:30 PM "Training" Level Ride. A to A+ pace Leaves from parking lot at Publix on East Lake Rd. in Palm Harbor. Not a club ride -- local show n go ride -- an opportunity for the faster riders to stretch their legs a bit. (or should I say pedals?) 20 - 30 miles. Loops with intervals & sprint zones.  LIGHTS REQUIRED FOR RIDING IN DARKNESS.
 

WEEKDAY MORNING SHOW N GO RIDES:

Tues. 8:30 a.m. (promptly!) :-)   POF Group: Meets at the Publix parking lot on East Lake Rd.- ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE ORIGINAL PUBLIX AND NEXT TO BLOCKBUSTER. We ride to Clearwater beach over the bridges and to the construction site on Gulf Blvd.  The ride is usually 50 or so miles.  There is a lunch stop at the end of the ride for those interested.  For info, email Bill Kracov: wkracov@tampabay.rr.com

Thurs. 8:30 a.m. (promptly!) :-)  POF Group: Meets at the Publix parking lot on East Lake Rd. - ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE ORIGINAL PUBLIX AND NEXT TO BLOCKBUSTER.  This is the Starkey Park/Suncoast/Trouble Creek ride.  The ride is between 55 and 75 miles dependent upon the route and if you ride to the start.  Once again, there is an optional lunch stop at the end of the ride. Pasco County SHOW N GO Rides " (formerly Bike Lane sponsored rides)… These rides are strictly “show n go” but info is below.. These are NOT Suncoast Cycling rides, but posting as a courtesy to our Pasco members.

SUNDAYS 8:15 a.m. – Leaves from Publix in the same shopping center as the former Bike Lane (9850 Little Road). The usual route is around 40 miles with one rest stop. The ride follows a combination of bike lanes, county back roads and bike paths along the Suncoast Parkway and through Starkey Park. Pace is brisk -- usually B- to A, but new riders are welcomed, not dropped. For more information contact Larry or Elaine at lad@cs.bgsu.edu

WEDNESDAYS 5 p.m. - Leaves from Starkey Park in the “car park” next to the Trail. There are restrooms & water. Pace is a steady 18-21 – usually an out & back for approx. 40 miles.
