7th Annual Bud's BBQ & Century Bike Ride

Besides the Century and 50 miler,
also a Metric Ride!  
3 routes & 3 start times for ultimate flexibility,
or just do your own thing! 

 

WHEN:  SUNDAY, MAY 22nd

  • Century

  • Metric Century

  • 50 Miler

    • 7 a.m. (unofficial century start time)

    • 8 a.m.

    • 9:30 a.m.

  • YOUR choice of start time, or do your own thing, but be back in time for the BBQ!

  • BBQ STARTS at 1 P.M.

  • Not doing the BBQ?  That's ok, please come join us for the RIDE!  No charge.

 

WHERE: STARKEY PARK, PAVILION B
Please park in parking lot 5 (map & directions below) New this year...$2 PARKING FEE... PLEASE PLAN FOR THIS. You must have exact change ($2) or a check.

Here's the rest of the scoop!

  • Route Maps Provided.

  • No Ride Leaders, SAG or Sweep.

  • Do the century, metric, 50 miler, or come later and do a shorter ride! 

  • Bring the family and/or encourage them to volunteer! (Volunteers get FREE BBQ!*)

  • Mid Point Rest Stop at Starkey Park for Century Riders

  • Anderson Snow Park Rest Stop at 75 mile mark.

  • BBQ CATERED BY “PIT BOSS” — Kids 5 & Under 5 (and Volunteers) eat FREE!

  • RSVP WILL BE REQUIRED to ensure we order enough.**

  • Non Member Riders must sign a waiver.

 

There will be 3 Ways to Register & Pay. . .

 

Easy... Fill out the pdf form and deliver to the Saturday ride start, no later than Sat. May 14th Ride.(Ray Booth or Mike Jordon) with EXACT CASH or CHECK payable to Suncoast Cycling.

 

Easier...  Fill out the pdf form and mail. Make your check payable to Suncoast Cycling and MAIL TO: Christine Tabor -- see address on the form... TO ARRIVE NO LATER THAN MAY 14.

We need a little help from our friends... and VOLUNTEERS EAT FREE.   

This is the perfect opportunity for your non-riding (or short riding) family member or guest to volunteer while you ride. FOR MORE INFO or if you have questions, contact BUD via email or call 813-917-2222.  Suggested time slot needs are:

  • Help us pack it all up on SATURDAY afternoon around 2pm or so.

  • Check in: 3 route starts run from 6:45-9:30 -- volunteer all or part

  • 50 Mile Rest Stop (In the park, at ride starting point) 9:30-11:30

  • 75 Mile Rest Stop (Anderson Snow Park) 10:30-12:30

  • Lunch set up 12:30-1 -- Pit Boss is delivering & serving; minimal duties.

  • Help pack up to go home after lunch. Estimate 2-3 pm

 

**Late registrations will be accepted but unfortunately will not be guaranteed bbq fixins' and/or will be asked to wait until century riders have been served before eating.
